im not a vikings fan. im a packer fan, always will be no matter how much mike mccarthy sucks. having said that, there are going to be many games this year where i will be rooting for the vikes, i can think of two off the top of my head right now. anybody who bashes brett favre is an idiot. he's indecisive, so what. he loves the game and plays like few others ever have. i grin like a retard when i see that old man running and jumping around like a kid after a t.d. he holds all the records, he has 3 mvp's, a superbowl ring, he's unbreakable physically and mentally. if you dont like him either you're not a fan of football or there's something wrong with you. there's no other possible explaination.
Even though you are a packer fan, haha nice words about Brett! From a viking fans point of view I look at it like this, if we can win 10 games with Gus "Forgot" ... why cant we win atleast 12 with a future hall of famer?
The vikings will be lucky to make it to the playoffs this year. Besides Brett being bad he has no one to throw to. Im sure every Vikes fan can name all the starting receivers but just because you know their name doesnt make them good. The next thing you know the Vikes will be calling Chris Carter to come out of retirement. They need somebody to catch.
you sir, are an idiot. here are bretts numbers from last year. notice his 70 almost 80 completion percentage for most of the year. notice that he beat the pats and the titans when they were 11-0. notice the denver game and games there after were there was clearly something different(his biceps). http://www.nfl.com/players/brettfavre/gamelogs?id=FAV540222&season=2008
Notice how this is a brand new team and nobody on this team gives him the respect he needs to be a starter. You can't just fly in on your private jet from Mississippi, walk on the practice feild, call the coach "Chilly" and start without even throwing a ball. Except to high school kids. Team chemistry wins championships. The vikes don't have that right now. If they lose their first game and Brett doesn't reach expectations, this team won't last and be full of a bunch of players who don't trust their QB.
Hopefully Brett Farve breaks his neck. Brett Farve was my childhood hero. I have lost all respect for him. I would love for him to break his arm or leg or neck or something. With love, Nelson
I never was a fan of Favre, and I was disappointed that the Wilfs signed him. I hated the incessant press rumblings and orgies of love that they threw his way, while he acted missish and kept quiet. I hate him and his sycophant press. I don't think that did much for team unity, nor did the aura of perceived and real, special treatment. He is part of a team, not just the Brett Favre Express. He looked good in Monday's game, but before that, he looked scary! We are going to have to see how he does when it's October and November. I'm trying to stay optimistic, but what if he decides to retire yet again before the season is over, and then decides he wants to come back again next year for the same stupid freak show? Let's wait and see what he does before we start giving him the love, or even the like.
WOW!!! I am simply amazed at the amount of shallow people out there. You don't have to be happy about his decision to play for the Vikings, but to wish him a serious injury is just childish. Ya only get to live one life and if the guy still wants to play football, let him! If you don't like it, don't watch!! But of course you will be watching, because he's that exciting.....and so will the rest of the world. Let's wait and see those TV #s after the Oct. 5th game..
VikesGirl4, I agree! Once Brett starts winning in the regular season everyone will love him! There is a lot of hype around the Vikings Organization, and that is exactly what the Wilfs wanted!

ReplyDeleteafter the game i watched last night the vikes have way more to worry about than brett favre. the packers are on fire.
ReplyDeleteYes the packers will be tough, but I think that we can handle them!

ReplyDeleteI think after Favre wins a couple games everyone will forget about him being a "Trader" and everyone will love him again!
ReplyDeletePackers on fire? Ha Ha Superbowls are not won in August. Fire will be burned out by November as the Vikes roll!
