Odd Man Out in Minnesota
With the arrival of future Hall of Famer Brett Favre, it seems like the trading on Tavaris Jackson is soon to come. Jackson was the opening day starter for the Vikings just last season. Lingering injuries and inconsistent play has the door closing on TJack's days in Minnesota. Why I feel this way is simple, the Vikings brought in Sage Rosenfel to be the starter this season. Now that Favre has rolled into town Sage has been bumped down to 2nd string. Also the Vikings drafted John David Booty as a young player with much upside who can hold down the 3rd string role. With that being said, Tavaris Jackson is now the odd man out and I see a trade coming very soon. Please leave comments, thanks!

changed the title, "Old Man Out in Minnesota" there, it's fixed.
ReplyDeletehaha ... that may be my next title for a Brett Favre article!
ReplyDeleteSage wasn't brought in to "be the starter"..this comment is false.. Sage was brought in to "compete" against Jackson for the starting job...not to have it...there's a good chance Jackson playes that first half if Favre didn't come out..Jackson is still the number two...
ReplyDeleteI agree that Sage was brought in to compete, but after the first preseason game, Sage was clearly the lead man! I don't agree that Jackson is the number 2! I feel he is currently 3rd behind Sage and is soon to be traded.
ReplyDeletei feel like TJ never got a chance. I thot Sage R. was looking pretty good. I'm not sure how I feel about Brett. He doesn't look as strange in a MN uniform as I thought, but I guess I'm a frivolous woman, I want younger, cuter, eye candy as my QB. He's just too old. Forgive me.
